We’re thrilled to announce that Turo’s OpenRoad advocates have now sent over 20,000 messages to their representatives since 2018 - a major milestone!

Thanks to major societal changes like COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter movement, and skyrocketing historical unemployment numbers, 2020 has been a banner year for advocacy participation across a multitude of companies and organizations.

With these major and monumental topics to discuss with your elected officials, we want to thank our community for additionally continuing their work of advocating for the peer-to-peer car sharing in their states.

By taking a few moments to contact their legislators, our community members have helped to defend their community’s rights to share their cars for a few extra bucks while also protecting precious access to mobility options in 8 states in 2020 alone – Georgia, Louisiana, Washington, Virginia, Florida, Arizona, California, and Tennessee.

Thanks to our vibrant community for their continued support and next time you’re advocating for peer-to-peer car sharing in your state, consider bringing a friend along for the ride - road trips are always best when shared with others.
