Take a stand for Turo in New York
Next year, Turo will be supporting a bill in New York that aims to reduce peer-to-peer car sharing insurance costs in an effort to align with traditional rental car requirements, helping to create a more level playing field. If this important bill fails to pass, it could be extremely difficult for Turo to continue operating in New York — so we need your help.
Compared to rental car companies, Turo is currently required to carry exponentially higher liability insurance for peer-to-peer car sharing trips. This unfair insurance imbalance has no policy basis and, if unchecked, could deprive New Yorkers of their ability to use Turo as guests and earn money as hosts.
Your voice needs to be heard
We’re doing everything we can to work with New York lawmakers on this issue, but we need you, our Turo community, to help shed light on this unjustifiable regulatory inconsistency and show your support for upcoming legislative efforts by sharing why Turo is important for New Yorkers.
We’ve made it simple to contact your representatives with a few clicks. Once you’ve taken action, please consider following the prompts to record a short video that we can share with lawmakers in Albany.
Thanks for being a part of the Turo community and advocating for peer-to-peer car sharing!
