The Turo community is under constant attack by the multi-billion dollar rental car industry and these big business bullies are attempting to quash peer-to-peer car sharing. Make your voice heard in your state - join one of our open campaigns below. We make it easy to contact your elected officials to voice your support of Turo and peer-to-peer car sharing.  If there are no open campaigns in your state, join OpenRoad and we’ll let you know when it’s time to act.

Make your voice heard in Minnesota

Currently, the Minnesota legislature is considering a set of bills, HF 2653 and SF 2753, that would create a sensible regulatory framework for peer-to-peer car sharing and will, most importantly, define and regulate Turo hosts as separate from rental car companies.

Take a stand in Pennsylvania

Right now, the Pennsylvania state legislature is considering bills that would threaten the ability of Turo hosts to share their cars in Pennsylvania by adding overly burdensome regulations, taxes, and harmful limitations to the number of cars a host can list on Turo.

Make your voice heard in Michigan

The Michigan state legislature is considering a package of bills that would threaten your ability to share cars in Michigan by adding new taxes to trips and treating individual vehicle owners like big corporate rental car companies.

Help support Turo in Nebraska

The Nebraska state legislature is considering two bills that would impact peer-to-peer car sharing: LB 233 and LB 1258. Each bill aims to regulate peer-to-peer car sharing differently and we’re aiming to help guide decision makers in the right direction.

Help keep Turo in Hawaiʻi

The Hawai'i state legislature is considering a bill (HB 1500) that would prohibit hosts from using marketplaces like Turo to share their cars in Hawai'i. If passed, this unfair law would forbid peer-to-peer platforms like Turo from operating in the state, eliminating economic opportunity for Hawai'i residents who share their cars with neighbors and visitors alike to make ends meet.

Bring Turo back to New York

Given the unique nature of the insurance statute in New York, car sharing marketplaces that offer insurance protection to their users cannot operate there. New York residents - sign up for OpenRoad and we’ll let you know when it’s time to fight.
