Make your voice heard with California lawmakers

Right now, Turo is supporting a bill in California, AB 2743, that aims to rectify an unfair increase in insurance costs that would make it extremely difficult for Turo to continue to operate in California — and we need your help.

If AB 2743 fails to pass, liability insurance costs for Turo trips could increase exponentially, while rental car companies aren’t required to provide any liability insurance — at all. This jump in insurance has no policy basis and could potentially drive price hikes for guests and decreased earnings for hosts.

Your voice needs to be heard

We’re doing everything we can to work with the California lawmakers on this issue but we need you, our Turo community, to help shed light on this unintentional regulatory oversight and share your support for AB 2743 — a bill that would help ensure Turo’s ability to continue operating in California.

We’ve made it simple to contact your representatives with a few clicks. Once you’ve taken action, please consider following the prompts to record a short video that we can share with lawmakers in Sacramento.

Thanks for being a part of the Turo community and advocating for peer-to-peer car sharing!
