OpenRoad celebrates 10,000 messages to legislators
Here at Turo, we aim to foster close relationships with our community members. We admire their passion and dedication to both Turo and peer-to-peer car sharing, and we’re simply astounded by their enthusiastic advocacy efforts over the past year.
Since the rebrand and reinvigoration of the OpenRoad program in 2018, our OpenRoad members have sent over 10,000 messages to their legislators voicing their support of peer-to-peer car sharing.
By connecting with their representatives, OpenRoad members help elected officials to better understand how Turo benefits communities across the US.
OpenRoad members have assisted in the passage of bills establishing appropriate regulations for the peer-to-peer car sharing industry in Colorado, Indiana, and Iowa. Additionally, our community has helped fight bills that would’ve unjustly treated Turo and its users like rental car companies in Illinois, Ohio, Washington, Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, and Maine.
Thank you to each and every person who has supported Turo and peer-to-peer car sharing through OpenRoad - your efforts have influenced public policy in 37 states, exactly the way it is supposed to be.
We look forward to your continued support into 2020!
