Celebrate a win for Turo in Hawaiʻi
Earlier this year, the Hawaiʻi State Legislature passed an important bill that helped create a more level playing field for insurance requirements between peer-to-peer car sharing and traditional rental car companies. This was an important step in ensuring that Turo can continue to be a vital resource to Hawaiʻi residents.
Mahalo to you, our Turo community, for sharing your stories with elected officials to highlight how important Turo is for the State of Hawaiʻi. However, there is still more work to be done –– we’re asking for your help once more to show appreciation to Governor Josh Green and members of the legislature for supporting the Turo community.
Each mahalo message helps lawmakers understand why Turo matters to our Hawaiʻi community, underscoring the need for their support for years to come.
Your voice matters
We’ve made it simple to mahalo your lawmakers with a few clicks. Once you’ve taken action, please consider following the prompts to record a short video that we can share with lawmakers in Hawaiʻi.
Mahalo for being a part of the Turo community and advocating for peer-to-peer car sharing!
Want to get more involved?
We’re looking for community members who’d like to get more involved by becoming advocates for sensible peer-to-peer car sharing policy in Hawaiʻi. Advocates help by sharing their Turo story directly with legislators and regulators, joining in-person events, and meeting other Turo hosts and guests in your local area. If you’re interested in more information, please click “yes, I’m interested!” on the form on this page.
