Share your support for Turo
Right now, Turo is supporting a bill in California, AB 2743, that aims to rectify an unfair increase in insurance costs that would make it extremely difficult for Turo to continue to operate in California — and we need your help.
If AB 2743 fails to pass, liability insurance costs for Turo trips could increase exponentially, while rental car companies aren’t required to provide any liability insurance — at all. This jump in insurance has no policy basis and could potentially drive price hikes for guests and decreased earnings for hosts.
We want to highlight the broader economic impact of supporting Turo’s long term sustainability in the Golden State by highlighting the breadth of our community, California businesses bolstered by the needs of Turo hosts, and the 300+ Turo employees who rely on their Turo income to live in California – one of the most expensive places to reside in the country.
Will you help our efforts by signing on to this letter of support? We’ll include your first name, last initial, and the city you live in when submitting this letter to Governor Newsom’s office.
