Help support Turo in California

Right now, Turo is advocating for an important update to regulations in California that would keep our community moving forward, together. We need your help in supporting common sense policy changes while ensuring strong protections are still in place for Turo trips.

Today, California is the only state that applies uncapped vicarious liability to peer-to-peer car sharing programs. AB 2361 addresses this by ensuring minimum insurance coverage always remains available for trips, while eliminating an unchecked liability exposure that no other state imposes on our industry. Rental car companies, by comparison, aren't required to provide any liability insurance at all.

We want to show Governor Newsom and California lawmakers the broader importance of Turo's continued presence in the state, including the 250+ Turo employees who rely on their Turo income to live in one of the most expensive states in the country.

Will you help by signing on to this letter of support? We'll include your first name, last initial, and the city you live in when submitting to lawmakers in Sacramento.
